From his first day as a homeopath at the age of 19, Ewald Stöteler (1957) has worked exactly as Samuel Hahnemann (physician and pharmacist) developed and established his philosophy. He studied Hahnemann’s works thoroughly and translated various editions of the Organon and Chronic Diseases into Dutch. It became clear that Hahnemann worked from brilliant ideas, experiences, potencies, and precise experiments, and described these processes accurately in the successive editions of the Organon and Chronic Diseases. Just as meticulously as Hahnemann, Ewald Stöteler was able to discover the valuable and specific timeline in Hahnemann’s development as he explored classical homeopathy, which was finalized in the 6th edition of the Organon. Hahnemann himself titled this last edition: “which has now, if possible, become perfect.”
Homeopathy worldwide is based on the 4th edition of the Organon introduced by Kent and, partly as a result, has become alienated from its origins. The 5th and especially the 6th editions have been completely ignored worldwide. Ewald Stöteler bridges the gap between two extremes: the 4th and 6th editions of Hahnemann’s Organon. It then becomes clear that the principle of similarity extends far beyond the well-chosen remedy. This series of books is unique in this respect.
This series of books, each one a gift, was written by a man who puts his love for homeopathy, his practice, and his patients above all else and knows that this is his life’s purpose. A gift because the synthesis of Hahnemann’s thoughts, developments, and experiences becomes clear in this ever-growing series of books. All themes are faithful to Hahnemann according to the 6th edition of the Organon and his book Chronic Diseases. This series of books fills a large gap between Samuel Hahnemann’s unique knowledge and the understanding of it, in order to apply homeopathy with success in daily practice. Almelo, August 2025
